Most of the time when we are outdoors or in the forest, we are just observing and collecting, relishing in the changing seasons and miracles that abound in nature - but once in a blue moon, the camera leaves my backpack for just a moment - and those unplanned shots are some of the season's favorites.
Here we were just doing our normal thing, climbing back up the mountain (the short cut) to our home. They have spent countless hours in the woods, and it shows.
